Why was he so set on getting into debt? Another one joins the rat race, working to pay off debt used to buy things that get him to and from work to pay off the debt used to buy things that.... At least he sees new scenery as he drives to and from work.

As much as I agree with some of the comments above (reg age, debt, materialism etc) he did pack up his things and started a new life. His old life was not really worth living, so it's kinda awesome he did something about it.

Hope he will be able to stay away from the depression and sh*t..
