I wish to live long enough to see the legalization of drugs in our beloved country, and to see this nonsense to stop.

I think all drugs need to be legalised. The only way you can control it is if its legal - goverments can directly control the supply and quality (a lot of people die or get sick due to poor quality of the drug) and could know who buys how much of each drug. That would let them know who is an addict and who needs help.

I mean most people consume alcohol responsibly, and even get bored of it as you get older. That would be the same with other drugs.

And then you get the additional bonus of billions in additional taxes and the biggest blow to organised crime imaginable - you would be cutting out the source of their income.

A lot of cops and most drug dealers hate the push to decriminalize. It will reduce their profits and make a lot of them get real productive jobs.

Because there are suckers who use that shit?

Don't forget alcohol, tobacco and caffeine are all drugs - don't want to be a hypocrite now do we?

Maybe they should focus more on why poeple want to take drups instead of where they get them from. I dont think a lot of people who live a happy life become addicts. Use the money to help those who feel alone and desperate.
