What is most askew is the incarceration rate which is all out of proportion due to the antiquated drug laws. I would go as far as to suggest that, if the drug laws were revised (like the repeal of prohibition), there would be a dramatic drop in crime. We should send the Puritans back to Europe then the crime rates in the US would fall and the crime rate in Europe would increase!

Crime rates are at the lowest in the US partially down to the legalisation of cannabis in 2 states. But you cannot compare crime rates as one crime doesnt equal another.

For example: Homicide rates are 4.7 times that in the US compared to the UK. Pickpocketing is rampant in parts of the UK, but id rather loose my wallet than my life.

This is absolutely provably false. Violent crime rates have been falling in the US since the 1980s - how would that have anything to do with pot legalization in 2 states recently?
