The catholic church is the biggest organisation to send aid to poor countries, help the sick, donate to charities, educate children, send volunteers to where needed etc. So essentially they are doing what you say.

They dont have enough money to heal all people and feed everybody, because lets face it, thatd be more money than is on our planet. But they do do a lot. A hell of a lot more than you could accomplish in a thousand lifetimes.

PS: I am not religious and dont believe in the church. I do however see the good that other people and organisations do around the world, and the catholic church is the biggest, and for all its historical faults, is actually doing good in this world. More than any other organisation on the planet.
