In 2009 "Adopt a Kiosk" was created. The program allows British citizens to adopt an old red telephone box and turn it into whatever they want. People have turned this one into a mini library and it's pretty much a bookworms paradise.

Looks like a defibrilator in there. Many would say that is better than a phone charger. I would agree.
