The Urban Oil Fields Of Los Angeles Are Disturbing (24 pics)

Most of these shots are from the same place and very close to each other. In Signal Hill and the surrounding Long Beach area we dont even notice them and they are anything but disturbing. You want to worry about methane, try Huntington Beach, CA. They keep all that hidden from the public outside of the city because of the property values there but its a huge, dangerous issue.

and.... still better than those windmills they want to put around there..

What's disturbing about them? is energy, we are the biggest consumer in the planet, and if we can achieve energy independence we will stop sending money to foreign countries and our economy will grow. Nobody in the industry wants to contaminate our water with oil. Know why? because is expensive! no spills save tons of money!
