WTF ???? "In Mexico it is considered an almost snobby practice to use a fork and knife" ????

I am Mexican and I can tell you that this is the most idiotic thing I have heard in a while about my country. While it is true that eating a taco with a fork and knife would look snobby (and ridiculously stupid to boot), eating many, many, many Mexican dishes with a fork and a knife is the custom. If not, please do tell me, how many times have you seen any of the following traditional Mexican dishes with bare hands?

Mole, Chiles en Nogada, Arroz Poblano, any kind of enchiladas, tamales, chilaquiles, enfrijoladas, chicharron en salsa verde, huaraches, cochinita pibil. pulpos en su tinta con arroz, tampiquea, cecina, chocolomo, lengua en pipin, tinga, huevos divorciados, huevos rancheros, huevos motuleos, machaca con huevo, arroz con leche, flan, duraznos en almibar, nopalitos, romeritos, bacalao, chilaquiles, capirotada

I'll ask you to try eating any of the above dishes with your hands and then letting me know:

1. How well do you manage to do it
2. How many mexican people don't look at you weird for eating any of them with your hands

In france we never use bread to help food to go in the fourch... oh yes, some people do that but this is gross... In the facts we should use the fourch and knife and never put bread in your plate with your hand...

I'm French and if 11 is true, 12 is a false.
12 is only true when you are with your girlfriend, in this case don't split and pay all. In other cases, bill is split in equal parts or everybody pay their parts.

#10 is stupid... Of course you ought to eat your tacos with your hands, is like having a burger or a hot dog, how would you use a fork n' knife on them?
