What the hell do you think the Marines do in their spare time? clean our guns and study material so we can be prepaired for when we go into combat? That's only in boot. "Germans" and "Nazis", were not interchangeable terms.

Any German boy, living in Germany from 1933 to 1945, who dared to say "I'm not a Nazi, so I shouldn't be drafted," could be sent to prison or to a concentration camp. They were regular people drafted like anyone else.

I found these pictures fascinating, history rarely portrays the human side of the Germans from World War II. Those who want to remember an entire generation/race of people as monsters don't seem so different from the very people they are condemning.

my greart granpa was a german he was not a nazi he was a chef he was dragge dinto it to pay for his family if he did not help the german force he and his wife plus his 4 children would be shot.
they were onmly actually nazi's if they were a member of the nazi party or a voter which i can assure you my granpa was not.
My great granpa (wilhelm Naphousen) died, because-when he got the week to spend at his house with his family his wife told him of the jew hiding two doors down that were starving and the youngest child had approximatly 4 weeks to live, he snuck into theere house in the small hours and gave them food and medicine and books when he came back his neighbour and best friend saw, his best friend turned him in and my great granpa was put in the front row at the russian front and was shot.
now my granpa died to save one little jewish girl named zelda as i have recently found out and he died as he wouldnt kill the person who was about to shoot him, now think twice he was a german not a nazi and he is not evil.
