Unfortunately schools just aren't as safe as they used to be. These protective blankets could go a long way when it comes to saving the lives of students.

Steve Walker said that tragedies like Sandy Hook and recent tornado outbreaks inspired this blanket.

It would “stop that blunt-force trauma,” like bullets or rubble.

The blanket has straps so it can be worn like a backpack. It’ll be made with lightweight padding used for ballistic armor.

The blankets are cheaper than tornado shelters, plus children wouldn’t need to leave the classroom in the event of an emergency.

The company is encouraging school administrators to make its protective blankets part of their protocols.

Ballistic Armor = XY where X is lightweight padding and Y is greater than 1,000,000

Also, whatever falls on you (air conditioner, projector, beam) would be cushioned by the padding. Not you. That's why helmets aren't soft.

Lastly, I don't think anything less than .45 caliber kills with blunt force trauma. It's the speed that increases the transfer of mass. Or something like that

They might stop a 9mm round, but if a shooter wanted to kill someone wearing one of these, shoot in the side. Sorry to piss off my yank mates, but if America really wanted to stop school shootings, they would make firearms a privilege, not a right.

As for tornadoes, great kids, strap a sail to your backs! :04:

Yes, brilliant idea. Because obviously the way to fix school shootings is by issuing kids body armour, and not by implementing some form of gun control. No, never gun control. Because GUNS!

the angle of the dangle equals the bore of the whore times the mass of the ass. We were told years ago to hide under your desk in case of a nuclear attack. That seem to work well in practice drills. Hey Sally look at all the gum, er cum, under my desk. :68:

might help with flying debris for tornadoes...Funny, no one goes into a police station to shoot that place up, yet every weirdo seems to find a SCHOOL just fine...I wonder why? Food for thought...
