Bruce Townsley bought an Atlas F site in the middle of Texas in 1997 for $99,000, 30 years after it was deactivated. He built his home inside it.

It would be cool if those doors were still functional, otherwise, a house with no windows.....

Looks like all the hydraulics are there for the doors, but he just hasn't done anything with the missile section yet. Maybe a work in progress?

There are a few of these across the USA, and a lot seem to have an above ground section to the home and then put bedrooms and utilities underground, with recreation spaces etc.

Interesting, but not the best one I've seen.
