#67: When the term "football" originated in the English language, it was used as a generic term for any sport played with a ball while on your feet. As opposed to on a horse, which is how most sports were played at that time. Plenty of countries have their own version of football. Even England has more than one version of football: association football, union football, rugby football, etc.
