- detectives get their act together and solve crime or bring bad guy to justice when their superior specifically told them they are of the case...hand in their badge,gun and stay at home and not to harass their suspects with no proof but gut instinct and sheer luck...and once they solve the crime and bring bad guys to justice...causing millions in damages to the city...all is forgotten...there's always news channels on scene reporting about the event yet in sequels they have complete anonymity to repeat the cycle all over again

- bad guy has team of killers and they all die one by one and they can't shoot
the bad guy i like is..the one that kills his hired goons one by one...and they don't go hang on minute if you just killed him won't you do the same to me

- fight scenes....it goes back and forth or one hit and they're knocked out.....kung fu movies people fight the lead guy in turns they never just jump on him

- group friends go somewhere one or two of them dies (serial killer is loose) they stay around and look for each other

-high school social states changes from party to party....hot chick dating douche bag...stays with him....till guy she brushed of embarrasses him she's the trophy and hooks up with him...we don't get to see the douche bags revenge...films end with false happy ending

- computer wiz...hackers specially always do things with computer relevant to situation in seconds and came up with the idea on spot

- people on ground don't hear helicopter coming from miles away specially if its flying low and it has machine gun attached to it

- and my fav.....other people dont get involved when bad guy is fighting good guy nooo one helps
