I wonder what caused the elephant to go off like that. Either way, hippos are built like tanks so I'm sure that one is totally fine.

Read this story yesterday.

Seems like the he elephant was just in a bad mood, Both mother and baby hippo were fine after.

The elephant went on to run some mock charges at the rest of the hippo herd, then chased off a group of crocodiles that were sunbathing by the edge of the water.

---- Just for scale, the average adult hippo ( like this one) is about 1.5 tonnes

Recently watched Animal Planet, they were telling the story that elephants kill hippos and rhinos just for fun and if they are in a bad mood.
