#3: let's remember that A) the aztecs enjoyed their own degree of technological superiority over their near-stone-age enemies, and when THEY won, they took the military men prisoner (and later, 'civilians') for living human sacrifice by ripping out their hearts.

I'm pretty sure Cortez didn't do that.

One might almost say Cortez was an agent of karma for the Aztecs.

#8 - so the "Transatlantic" Slave trade was horrible, but the constant internecine slave trade that had existed by Arabs (white and black slaves) across all of south Asia and the Mediterranean for hundreds of years before the US even existed, as well as 1000 years of inter-African (black) slavery between tribes, that wasn't so bad? /facepalm
