Kinzua Bridge was built in 1882. It was the world's longest railroad bridge. Then, in 2003, to Pennsylvania came a tornado, and it was destroyed.

Slight correction. It was the worlds longest railroad bridge *for two years after it was built* in 1882. It hasn't been a record holder for a very long time.
