Most people remember the scene in Frankenstein (Karloff) where the little girl is throwing petals into the pond then cutting to her father carrying her body through the village. The 1934 Production Code (read censorship) had them cut out the part where Frankenstein, mimicking the girl, throws her into the pond.It wasn't restored until 1986. I've always felt that this is the most unsettling scene in movies.

The first final destination is actually inspired from an episode of the twlight zone called "Twenty Two"
