$1700 - pricey rifle, but it's a US-law-compliant version of the now-banned HK91/G3.
The rest of the world is so terrified of guns, which works nicely for their governments. Then again, the US revolution was STARTED when British troops were coming to Lexington and Concord precisely to take away the stores of weapons and ammunition, so it's about as core an American paradigm as can be.
