And you can't just say "WTF??? I'd never pay five bucks for a flower", because your new girlfriend won't appreciate it.
It sucks.
But it's not half as bad as it is in China.
In China children on the street sell flowers. And they catch your leg and won't let it go, until you buy a flower or just give them some money.
