There is a town in Alaska called Chicken .... that's right Chicken, Alaska.
The year-round population is usually between 17 and 37, depending on who you ask. Gold Miners in the summer boost the population up to over 100. And some decide to remain all year round while most get out before winter hits. It consists of 580+ sq. Miles and in the 1980's, during a bitter cold winter a resident 'snapped' and murdered 4 of the six residence that decided to remain in town that year before turning his weapon on himself. The single remaining resident had to contact the Alaska State Troopers, but due to weather had remain in town for six days before anyone could respond. This reduced the population density of the town to nearly 0%.
