We get the same reaction in the UK when they forecast snow.

Go back twenty years and the town could be cut off for a week or so. Now with the new roads, maximum two days. You still see people with eight loaves of bread and twenty pints of milk when two loaves and six pints does the week normally.

I know some people still think it's the end of the world. Sandy will disrupt things badly, and I hope everyone is safe, but it'll be running okay sooner than you think.
