I don't think I'd feel safe sitting there with that bed over my head ... It'd
always be in the back of my mind that thing is gonna come crashing down.

Everybody out of the living room, I want to go to bed. Must remember to lower the dining table. And remove any items over a specific height before lowering the bed. Hmmm. This whold thing is a huge fucking hindrance. I never though this through.

Since the bedroom platform is 'stored' upstairs...why not install a staircase?

- it's environmentally friendly (doesn't require electricity)
- studies have shown that some Prius owners can find - and use - stairs.
- in case of attack or burglary, you can 'fold' the staircase into an instant slide - separating you from your burglar/attacker.
