That's the difference between Pepsi and Coke...
Pepsi is always trying too hard. I'll cite Michael Jackson's burnt scalp/hair commercial as an example - Which many people believe lead to his addiction to pain killers and plastic surgery.

personally I prefer Pepsi, but either will do ... to be honest, I prefer good ol'
southern style sweetened Ice tea. (spiked w/vodka)

Im studying the right field ;)
But actually these prices are not just the logo. Mostly if not always, logos come with a design manual that explains and shows every way the logo can and will be used + it will probably include consultations for the new products and such. And rebranding a huge corporations, that are shows here mostly, is a lot more work than just a logo and some small manual for "how to use it".
Though I do agree some of these logos are a "little" too expensive I guess. :)
