San Quentin State Prison was opened in July 1852, it is the oldest prison in California. It has California's only death row for male inmates, the largest in the United States. It has a capacity of 3,302 inmates and population of 3,934 (127.6%).

They didn't make San Quentin without just cause. That's the problem with crime in America. People that are convicted of serious crime still expect to be coddled.

I worked with a guy who's kid was in Quentin. He liked it a lot or he must have because every time they let him out he would do something stupid so they would let him back in.
