I think some of them are very talented, It's just any face as a tattoo looks stupid. It looks cheap and trashy. Oh and never get a lovers name tattooed!

Portraits are hard to do... if youre stupid enough to get one of these and not willing to do the work to find an artist with a strong reputation... you deserve your awful lifelong portrait.

Some of these (numbers 1, 26, and 35) will look better after they've healed (though number 1 is a pretty unflattering representation anyway). Initially, grays always appear darker because the surface ink is mixed with coagulated blood. The skin behind the design is also red and irritated wherever the tattoo needle has been, causing a lightly shaded area to appear much darker than it is (especially in contrast to the surrounding skin that has not been tattooed/irritated).

You can tell an amateur by looking at the teeth. You rarely draw out each tooth individually... It makes the person look like a goblin, as in picture number 1. The teeth should be drawn as larger shape, with the individual teeth being implied by the gum line. lolz
