I have a hard time believing in salad fruit tree.. but ok, googled it, so it's not at all natural - "To create this tree, multiple cultivars of various fruits are grafted to a single rootstock. Fruit salad trees can simultaneously grow a number of fruits from multiple fruit families."

, Yup, I've done it. Cultivated an apple tree to also grow pears and oranges. This works best though if you take a weeping willow tree that has a huge trunk, cut the tree down, cut a wedge into the base of the trunk, and insert branches of trees you want to grow. It takes the root system of the willow and applies it to the saplings.
