the cartoon one is because it is cheaper to do that.
the puke one, well, i look in the mirror to see if i have puke on my face.
grades: because F stands for fail. it wouldnt make sense to say eail.
pair of pants because there are two legs.
space bar: because it's bigger.

Let's try and demystify some of the so called mysteries...

#1: to distract you and calm you down
#2: do you? I don't..
#3: larger classes (more people in one course), less material needed in lectures, also not true
#5: it works most of the time
#6: for recognition value, also it's easier to draw/cheaper
#11: because they roughly resemble the shape of fingers
#12: to check for chunks of puke/dryed tears/smeared make up/red eyes
#13: F is for fail...doh
#15: it's faster to write, because the letters are connected
#16: you'd know this if you knew how to write cursive
#21: is it?
#22: c'mon...it's bigger than the other keys...
#24: pizza is round because of the way it is made, box is square because it's easier to fold it that way, piece is triangular because this is what happens when you cut a circle into pieces...actually it's not even a triangle but a circular sector

overall not very mysterious...

Do you guys realize that, after reading all this, whos ever spending time explaining these mysteries has LOW IQ ever. Thats the trick of these things.

why do we call asteroids .. asteroids, and hemorrhoids .. hemorrhoids?

then again if we started calling hemorrhoids asteroids,
we would have to start calling Proctologists Astronauts

'A pair of trousers/pants' is due to the historical trouser being made in two legs and then attached at the waist (like chaps). Sometimes the waist would be covered by 'doublet' which made 'hose' (hosiery) warmer.

If you've ever watched a 'Can-Can' and wondered what the fuss was all about - the undergarments used to be made in two parts (ie no gusset) which makes it much saucier.

And 'IQ' jibe guy - learn to spell. You're shooting yourself in the foot.

Mysteries are nice, even if they are explainable.
