Brought a fountain pen last year from amazon.Damn thing package the size of a shoe box and cost 14 bucks to ship. maillady brought it up to my apartment cus too big for letterbox

Somewhere on the glorious internet there is the picture of an HP laptop power cable shipped in a pallet sized box. None of theses are rally any better, although the window blinds probably win.

Someone somewhere, probably at Amazon, is not paying attention!

I have recently started buying my 'things' from Amazon too ....
...lets just say I've been enjoying the bubble wrap almost as
much as the cats are enjoying their new castles (boxes) to
explore .... cats are drawn to boxes like men are to big boobs.

the reason why they packing the item like that is to protect the item itself.imagine what what will happen if your item packed with the real size of your item and the box is dropped or stacked with another heavy packaging?it just like how they design a car to absorb the impact.
