first ever website :
It was August 6, 1991, at a CERN facility in the Swiss Alps, when 36-year-old physicist Tim Berners-Lee published the first-ever website. It was, not surprisingly, a pretty basic one.

The 5mb disk drive was vacuum tube based with 24" spinning platters; it held 8 bit byes, so in today's world, it would it hold only 1.25 mb! The Eniac/1946 was only Turing compatible. It was only programmable with patch cords. The ENIAC was later upgraded to what computers are today, "Turing compatible Von Neumann machines" (code and data electronically share the same memory). Every computer you have (mainframe, PC, laptop, iPod, cell phone, tablet, et all) are Turing compatible [complete] Von Neumann machines. But you'll get a blank stare and a firm denial that they have any if you ask for one from Apple or Best buy!
