I kinda like the idea in principle, but I think the execution needs some work. It would seem to me to make more sense to have the mechanism behind the person rather than in front - less of a barrier between the operator and someone they're talking to. Also, I wonder how stable that thing is. Looks like it might be top heavy which is inherently unstable.

I agree, at least partially, w/ Slugsie, . I think it should be like a normal,
sit down, mobility scooter w/the ability to allow a person to stand when needed.
However, this particular design would allow a user to back into a stall and sit on
a toilet fairly easily.

Looks like a pretty good idea, I'm assuming he has to sit down to take a piss though.

Slugsie,
i thought the same thing. it also doesn't look like it's able to traverse terrain which is even the slightest bit difficult, due to the low ground clearance and the small wheels.

aside from that, it's a great concept.

Slugsie,

you're right. And don't forget the fact, that it runs with battery only. There's no pushing the wheels once the energy's gone.

Good idea but how it is in the street... when you have a sidewalk to climb. With a wheelchair it's possible because the wheel are big... but here i'm not sure !!

Well, I actualy use a wheelchair, and no Vonkara, I am NOT overweight and I'd love this device. You guys really believe it's easy to use a wheelchair on the streets, on your own? This would give me so much more freedom! But again and as allways... Only for the rich. 17

Whatever our feelings about the execution of the idea, it is how the users themselves adapt to it that is the key.

GrinningRat has this need, and sees the benefits straight away. I feel it looks top heavy, and limited for uneven terain, but we can't see those other advantages as clearly.

We have a member here who can immediately see a plus in this design. It is for him and the future users of this amazing machine to direct the design.

Good idea for a 'shopping only' cart. Useless outdoors on uneven ground. Top heavy.
You need a truck to transport it . . . and plenty money to boot.

Interesting idea, wouldn't suite all types of handicapped people though but it seems to help this guy out so it's not a bad thing.
