Those empty shelves in a dutch shop don't mean that there is no food left in Holland. Last weekend there was a power failure and they had to threw away 35 000 Euro worth of food.
You can take a look at all that food after the jump.
Such a waste :(

See that is what pisses me off. They throw it away. When the power went out and it looked like they may loose the food the should have had A HUGE COOKOUT AND BUFFET!!

or at least gave the food away. It would have gone a long way in the area of customer relations and loyalty.

no fred you got it wrong..!!

the store need to prove ,to the insurance claims adjuster ,the food that went bad ,or the loos if you will...

no proof no money , so in reality they have to show the food, by the time those turtles come to you store all the food is trash, they do a quick assessment of amounts , then they can do what ver they wnat with the trash..
