These kids don't know the true meaning of police brutality. If this happened in North Korea, the kids wouldn't be pepper sprayed, they would've been shot and no one would ever hear about it. Also, these kids were warned MULTIPLE times of what would happen if they didn't move. Watch the video.

@sonictastesgood

That dosen't justifies the use of a chemical agent as strong as pepper spray.

They could have used water to hose them away, or tear gas which is a les toxic agent

The police are generally bullies hiding behind a badge, but in all fairness. That video was SEVERELY edited to make that officer look bad.

i dont understand you americans.

in europe we have the castor transport, that brings the nuclear waste from the power plants to the deposit. There are always hundreds of protesters sitting on the rails for the waste-train, and the police is also there with thousands of cops. each two cops come to a sitting protester, ask him friendly to stand up and tell him that they will lift him up and carry him away, and so they do. Without any violence. I think a nuclear waste transport is a lot more important than a campus...

there must be something generally wrong in the us... why does everyone need a weapon? in my country (austria) most weapon deaths a suicides. you are between third world countrys at the top of the "weapon related death"-list.

why no public health care in us? also looks like third world to me...

i heard that in us you also have one of the highest percentages of
people-in-prison/1000 inhabitants....

only two political partys? less than in most countrys, but at least more than russia or china....

mostly in war since ww2 ? is the economy really mostly based on weapon export and war ?

yes austria, with the mountains (alps), mozart comes from here, and hitler also (most think he was born in ger)

to moultonam:

1-5 are the same in austria,
but
the only people in austria that have weapons are policemen, hunters, soldiers and freaks. So if you buy a weapon and you are no policeman/hunter/soldier everyone who knows it thinks you are a freak. or have something to defend (money,...)
i dont understand why it is so easy to get a gun in us. is it really worth the profit of the weapon industry?

Only 70 people have died since 1990, that's pretty minimal. I'm sure much more would have died if they used clubs or guns.

The US will always be a target for criticism, as long as it is the only remaining superpower in the world. It seems to me that a second thought isn't given when the US is criticized, but if the US stands up for itself or says something back, it's a mortal sin.

Citizens right to bear arms is what the United States was founded on, it's an essential part of our history and one of the reasons we were able to attain independence in the Revolutionary war. If a nations population is armed, it is less likely that its citizens will be subjected to authoritarian control by its government or other governments. As I recall both Stalin and Hitler both were big fans of gun control, and look how that turned out.
