I made (a better looking) one 23 years ago for an office colleague, and we didn't think of the cleaning lady who came after working hours. After seeing the clock she ran away home to call the police. They locked the area and evacuated all the people living there in a 200m radius, had to call the bomb squad from the nearest big city (100 kms away), and since our office had political ties with the government, had to report the situation every 20 minutes to the interior minister.

The good thing is that since it was nothing real, no charge could be retained, but for a long time a lot of neighbors didn't talk to us, and those who did said that they are "no fools, we know that it was the real thing but they said it's a joke so we won't dig deeper"
