i'm thinking this is to keep up with google's launch of their trust circles. why does privacy always seem to be an issue with facebook though. not too much, but too little?

The google circles is really nothing new, you could personalize those settings in facebook for years. They just made it easier now for all the people who were to dumb to personalize their privacy settings.
