Caplin ROUS was wonderful. He passed away (aged 4) at the beginning of this year and his owner Melanie really misses him. She now has Garibaldi ROUS who is not yet 1 and is getting used to living with the family and enjoying the pool and rolling in lots of mud. Capybara's are gentle creatures, although they can give you a bit of a nip with those magnificent teeth if your hands get in way when feeding them. They are related to Guinea Pigs and Gari ROUS lives with one as a co-pet. Please check out Caplin and Gari's website at gianthampster.com and consider donating to the ROUS Foundation that Melanie has set up in memory of Caplin to further the knowledge of Capybara veterinary medicine.

Very good description franzee! It's the size of a dog but does none of the fun stuff... it sure is cute though. And to say it loves ice-cream - what living creature (including insects) doesn't like ice-cream??!! It's a sure shot for anything with a mouth, Lol
