11 months ago 19-year-old Derek Thomas was trapped in a fiery car crash last August that killed three of his closest friends. He had burns over 85% of his body and he has been given just 1 in 100 chance of survival. Derek survived. After four months in an induced coma and dozens of surgeries he is learning to live once again.
