It is the chemicals they put on the land to grow enough food for 1 billion people. It then washes into the ocean and causes huge Algae Blooms. You'll start noticing this spreading through out Asia over the next 3-5 years. It will kill all but very hardy fish. Kind of ironic that the chemicals that they are using to increase food production will actually be the downfall of their food production and in the end their way of life.

I'm surprised they're not shoving handfuls of it in their mouths, these people will eat just about anything! It's one of the things I respect the most of them, no waste of food. They'll have new dishes with this seaweed in no time, you'll see!
