Does anyone know what makes those clouds in the sky? Must be dust right? Looks like there was life there long ago.

tavaren,
The main component in all clouds is dust, it is what holds all the different components (gases and the like) together, Mars has a thin atmosphere mostly composed of Carbon Dioxide. Mars likely had water very early on in it's life, but had no magnetosphere to block out solar wind's and the atmosphere was stripped away, eventually whatever water there was on Mars was either stripped away (as water vapor) or froze, so if there ever was life it never would have progressed to anything more than microbial. Also some of these photos are fake, seems to be mostly what mars might look like terraformed.

25 years?!?! Remember the robots they sent? They wouldn't even be there yet. If you time it right it takes approx. 6 months.

GhostChronos, tavaren,,
Contrary to popular belief, there IS water on Mars! Obviously, it's in small quantities, but it can be found in all three states of matter, thus in the atmosphere too. At the bottom of my comment there is a link to a color photo taken on May 18, 1979 by Viking Lander 2 showing both water in solid form and a bluish sky.

These are not real pictures of Mars, just artist views computer-generated 01

I'm pretty sure it's actually Terragen 2 renders. Here, take a look: http://www.planetside.co.uk/ga

There is no atmosphere on Mars, hence no water. There's only ice.

roblinus,

You are joking right?! Mars does have an atmosphere!
If you watch every God damned documentary, movie or TV show ever made about the red planet, you will notice that Mars has some serious storms and unpredictable weather. This can only happen on a planet that has an atmosphere!

Ice is water in liquid state, Einstein! 13
