The cat treats the bird very gently. I guess there is a certain affection between the two.
Of course there is always a chance that the cat could have a bad day and hurt the bird. But I doubt that a cat has an "evil plan" to kill the bird. I assume that a lot of animals except humans are not familiar with ethics and do not scheme rather complicated intrigues consciously. Cats are hunters, not murderers.
