The picture of the Soviet's Flag after war is not a fake photo,
in Photoshop it calls Unsharp Mask filter. cmiiw.

The Soviet's Flag picture : the soldier in the lower right corner carried watches on both of his hands, thereby indicating he has been looting civilian possessions. The Soviet leaders wanted the story of elite soldiers being the ones that were first to raise the flag there, so that they would be a good example for others. So they had to manipulate the watches away from the original picture.
