Here in Rio, the Marijuana March is allowed by authorities (as freedom of speech) but activists are not allowed to smoke while marching. LEGALIZE NOW 60

Only the Canadians would come up with the mouthful, "Electoral Reform A High Priority", whatever that means. 03

Don't forget that current hunger for grass of America's youth is one of the reasons for the horrible situation in Mexico.
Of course Mexico's politicians are at least responsible for more than 50% of the escalation but NEVER underestimate your personal responsibility.
So American readers of acidcow and smokers please follow my call: Be responsible, help your Mexican neighbours, grow your own weed and LEGALIZE it!

I think it would be better to legalize it than to forbid it... a controlled market would be definitively better than the black market. And the state could get profit out of it 04

I agree it should be legalized. I do not smoke but have inhaled years ago. The penalties are far to severe. Our prisons are overcrowded with taxpayers footing the $60K per year cost to house inmates for petty possesion.
This reefer madness is absolutely ridiculas

Lord Dodo, yes. The teetotalers proved that prohibition didn't work and just encouraged crime. You'd think we'd learn from history, but people insist on imposing their morals on others. 67

Buddy with the chest tattoo looks like he's had a couple knifings and open heart surgery in his time. Probably a prime candidate for smoking dope

I get the legalization and all, but don't make it look so trashy and low-class when you're protesting it. It would be like if alcohol were illegal and people were vomiting all over each other trying to legalize it.

Give it a friendly, clean appearance...
