Don't get me wrong, it's nice... I just think a home should feel warm and inviting. All that concrete, glass, and empty space would make this house feel like an office building or some such.

I agree - this is not a Iron Man house. Iron Man house was CGI and some interior were only build up in the Hollywood studio. Also his house was based on Architecture of John Lautner.
