That one with the Russian plane with tail number 80 was actually "staged" for a movie. Both crewman bailed out at Mach 1. Expensive stunt!

said... better than the alternative...
you have to do this maneuver in at least... 5 km height, i presume? to be sure that you are landing safe... if you do this over the ground, you may break your legs while landing, because the parachute has no time to open and stop your fall correctly

The Russian plane only had one eject, and the other landed the plane.

With only a few exceptions, the majority of these shots were of test aircraft where the ejection seats were being tested. The additional seat was built into the plane behind the actual pilot, who would then land the plane. A few were actual ejections, usually during airshow mishaps.
