How is this news? Build a house on a flood plane and it gets flooded. When was the last time the Red River flooded the area? How about last years, and the year before that, and so on. 13

tough break for them, the ex-inlaws live up there. Can't seem to get a break from these floods. The Red River is the only river that flows from south to north. Maybe that's why it floods so much.

I have to agree with the Captain. People all over the country build homes where Mother Nature does not particularly want them too.

I grew up in this area. This is not an uncommon occurrence. The people know its going to happen. They just don't know when.
