Detroit has lost 237,500 people in the last decade. They are not coming back any time soon. Tear them down and give the land back to Mother Nature.

i'm down there everyday, there is an actually sign in front of this burnt out house that reads only $500 a month,it's terrible

I really think these are interesting. Anyone who likes this should watch the documentary called "Requiem for Detriot" Kinda like requiem for a dream but for Detriot instead

It's probably too expensive to renovate these houses. Better remove them and gain some more place for nature or something like that.

Even if the house is free, it's not cheap. The city still thinks they own it, you are merely the schnook who pays for taxes and upkeep. And you have to get permission either to fix it up or tear it down.

The whole are is just astonishing in how it has declined in the last decade or so.

The street a lot of these houses are in is almost uninhabitable on its own, without buying the run-down house that's on it too.
