Smoke curls from hand-built fires, axes rest against mossy logs, tarps strung between pines catch soft rain. These images breathe solitude and self-reliance. No luxury—just skill, silence, and harmony with wild spaces. They transport you to forests where time slows, survival becomes art, and every frame whispers: disconnect to reconnect. Nature isn’t background; it’s the main character.

Escaped the office grind for a night - cozy 0 °C under a tarp, a cold beer in hand, and a proper pot of chili simmering.

This has been a winter project of mine, and a proof of concept that clothes and fabric can be made from nettle.

Cooked up a good sized T-bone, sweet potato and two onions for dinner Friday night. I couldn't resist eating half of both onions while waiting for the steak to finish.

I love this place. It's extremely secret yet so close to society. Me and my girlfriend have been working on this "treehouse" for a month or so and this is how far we are already. It's stable, comfy and you're at least somewhat protected from rain.

Quick winter fire using my folding stove. The kuksa was freezing cold when I set it down, but a few minutes of flame and the whole spot warmed right up. Love simple moments like this out in the bush.

A little widling today with my bark river mini gunni in magnacut. Teamed up with a Sak and a Swedish hatchet, I can build about anything I want.

I had the itch to get out into the forest all day, but couldn’t get out before late afternoon…anything was better than nothing. A bit of a steep trek in, but it was worth it. Had a simple meal and a nice hot coffee by the fire.

Introduced my son and extended family to bushcraft up at the family cabin during thanksgiving, also where I harvested the buck. Lots of whittling and fire making for s'mores and hot cocoa. Figured I would mark the occasion with a special mount. All notched and lashed together no glue or nails.
