Solitude wrapped in mist and pine: tents glowing under starlight, hands carving spoons by firelight, boots sinking into dewy moss. These images capture the quiet poetry of wilderness living—not survival, but communion with nature. Every frame breathes calm, resilience, and the raw beauty of simplicity. For those who find peace not in escape, but in presence among trees and silence.
A-frame shelter this time, no risk of falling tree trunks&very happy with how it turned out. I repurposed a lot of the materials from my first shelter. I also hung my jacket in the entrance as I slept and I was warm all night.
Keepin’ it simple.
A fireplace with a chimney I built from mud to my cozy cave.
A day out for some "dirt time."
Torch I made out of fatwood.
Wanted to share a shot of my go-to spot that I've been working on for a while. It’s a simple raised-bed design with a tarp roof, but it's incredibly comfortable and keeps me off the damp ground. It's become the perfect place to practice skills and just enjoy the quiet.
So this is my second camp in my amateur bushcrafting journey, this time with a different hut, the structure consists of 3 logs, the main one being the thickest, I carved out joints with a chisel for a tight fit, also the 2 main supporting logs hammered in the ground for extra stability, the whole structure can hold at least 2 people hanging from it.
More camping knife skills practice.
Made a small camp axe/tomahawk from an old leaf spring, and some knives from sawzall blades.
Bushcraft camp.
Had fun making the door. Had to baton split a long length of timber so I could use the flat side for the bracing. Used heavy duty farm gate hinges. Should slow down the bears!
This is just a shout out for Grohmann knives in Pictou N.S. Canada.
Fire bans s***s, it is in our instincts to sit by the fire, to create it, it's a sacred ritual! I have a stove but only for emergencies, fire laws are very relaxed here and I'm very glad.
Couple quick and dirty camp utensils.
Made this crude boy the other day, 5160 steel, ash handle, artificial sinew and leather.
Living alone in the snow wilderness with my puppy.
Current "obsession blade" is the Condor Cavelore. It makes decent shavings!
