Properly cured tobacco, while I won't say is healthy, is far better for you than smoking chemically preserved waste product (like sweepings and cut-offs from real tobacco) and brown paper sprayed with synthesized nicotine. Even drug store 'cigars' use a homegenized tobacco-like wrapper to give the illusion the wrapper is made of something that resembles tobacco. That's why a cigarette smells nothing like pipe tobacco.
