So many pictures of the SS Australis/America Star here that I haven't seen before on other sites. Even one painting of it's final few weeks before the front half collapsed beneath the waves.
Personal interest for me as it was the ship my family returned to England on in the seventies, and it has been interesting to see it's sad demise on the sandbank off the Maldives over the last few years.

The one on the beach is greek and visited every day . In crete .
