IF I buy a thoughtful gift and overtip by 15% at a four star French restaurant on the third date... How much more action should I get, based on a percentage, multiplied by the time variable of 12 hours... and if this event occurs with 24 hours of New Year's?

well~the trick was in the 2euros, sadly the 2 is already included in the pay 3x9=27 and 25+2 also =27, so u add the 3 u saved not the 2 which is already in the pay

I thought of this like that:
Since their total paid amount should have been 25 euros, what each one should have paid is 25/3 = 8,333333... euros
But since the waiter eventually would return one euro to each, each one would have paid 9,333333... euros
So... 9,3333333... x 3 = 28 (ta-dah) - so there go the 2 euros in the pocket.

The trick is that there is a mistake in the conceptual formulation, which confuses people.
No magic, all the money is still here. 8.3333333 (what the meal really cost for a single person), take it three times, add the 3 euros they got back and the two from the waiter and we have 30 euros again. But nice trick. 01 I love food for my brain.
