good thing i don't have any plans to do air travel anytime soon.
imo i think thorough pat-down or body-scan is going beyond what is necessary.

There is not a full body scanner in every airport. Even the largest one in my state does not have one... yet.

Although I think the aggressive pat downs are over board, if another 9-11 hits then everyone's jumping down their throats for not doing enough so how much is to much then? I'm not trying to defend the TSA but the fucktards that continue to threaten civilian's lives have put them in a hard place.
As far as the scanners go, I don't really care about them. I don't think they are going to cause all your hair to fall out or cause mass amounts of cancer forming cells to just erupt out of no where and as far as the "naked" body parts it shows? Who hasn't seen someone else naked before? I don't really think the people watching these are really going home to whack off to them when there are much better looking people on the net and where there's free porn.
I just think it's a lot hype about stupid shit really. Personally, I prefer walking onto a plain hoping the damn things not going to blow up from someone that's got a screw loose.

When I flew to Russia to visit my grandparents, my grandpa gave me a swiss knife with scissors, blade, everything. On the way back to American (still in Rus airport), the security guy saw this on my carry on and had me take it out and everything and explain.
I did and he just said "oh, ok" and let me get going. It was pretty funny
Oh and as far as the radiation concerns from the scanners.. you get MUCH MUCH more radiation from flying that high than that one measly scan of your body.
It's a major concern for pilots, though, who are mandated to go through those scans themselves each time they board the plane.

I like the idea of the machine that detonates any explosive device, vice the body scanner. You bring explosives, you blow up. Problem solved.
But seriously. Let's not go after TSA, let's go after the radicals that support terrorism! They caused this.
